There will be a new art exhibit displayed at the Sioux City Art Center this weekend.
It's called "Leonardo Da Vinci, Man Inventor Genius and Man Artist Genius", and it opens this Saturday starting at 10 a.m. The exhibition will run until October 14th.
Al Harris-Fernandez, Art Center Director says, "The exhibition features reproductions of Leonardo's known paintings, which are about 23, and about 35 to 40 of his inventions."
All of the paintings, as well Da Vinci's inventions that will be on display are made to the exact scale of his original pieces.
Several of his inventions will be interactive pieces, allowing children and families to learn through the hands-on displays.
Harris-Ferenadez says, "There will be, two films. One orientation film, and the second one will be the life of Leonardo Da Vinci that will be playing in our lecture hall, it will be looping in our lecture hall all day long."
This new display will open this coming Saturday at 10 a.m. and tickets can be purchased at the door:
$10 for adults
$7 for students
$4 for children under the age of 12
