Single mom Dana Burkette of Ashton, Iowa has seen her share of hardships.
The mother of two with a baby on the way, recently had her car break down and wasn't able to afford its costly repairs.
"It's just so important even the small stuff," Dana said. "I mean we live ten miles from the closet town, diapers, just anything, we really need a way to get around."
Now though, she's no longer going to have to worry about getting her car fixed.
That's because she became the proud owner of a fully refurbished 1998 Chevy Blazer.
The SUV was given to Dana by a group of up and coming mechanics in the Charitable Chariots program at Northwest Community College in Sheldon.
Mechanic student, Clinton Schilling said, "As you can see Dana here was really excited about it, and it's nice to see that somebody coming up from a hardship get a break."
The Blazer was donated by the school's former president, Dr. Bill Giddings.
