The word "bully" gets tossed around a lot these days, but do you really know what that means?
Organizers of a seminar held Monday night at South Sioux City's Cardinal Elementary wanted to help clarify that for parents and school staff.
They say, many times, students face conflicts, but that doesn't necessarily constitute bullying.
Experts say it's important to help teach your child about good self–esteem and problem solving, so they're ready for any situation.
"We don't know if our kid is being a victim or being the aggressor, so everybody, every parent, every person who has a child needs to listen to this seminar, because it's important," says Araly Castillo from South Sioux City Schools.
There's another bullying presentation on Monday, August 27th from 6-9pm at the College Center in South Sioux City.
It's organized by Northeast Community College, South Sioux City Community Schools and Dakota County Connections.
