A Spencer man has now been charged with 1st Degree Murder after his alleged victim died in a Sioux Falls hospital over the weekend. 21-year-old Christopher Fitzpatrick is currently being held on charges related to the beating incident.
59-year-old Edward Kitto died as a result of the beating he sustained on August 28th. Police say Kitto was found beaten and unresponsive in the back yard of a residence in Spencer. He has been in the hospital since the incident, and never regained consciousness.
