DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) _ The campaign for President Barack Obama says Vice President Joe Biden will return to Iowa next week for two days of events.
The campaign announced Tuesday in a news release that Biden will be in Iowa on Sept. 17 and 18. It didn't specify where Biden would campaign.
Biden's events will come 10 days after he last visited Iowa. In that Sept. 7 stop in Iowa City, Biden and his wife joined Barack and Michelle Obama before a crowd at the University of Iowa.
Both the Democrat Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney are competing hard in Iowa, which is one of about six battleground states that likely will decide who wins the general election.
