The City of Sioux City was in the spotlight this week, as over 400 government officials from all across the state met in Sioux City for the annual Iowa League of Cities. During the 3-day event, a total of 750 convention goers toured the city, checking out a number a different economic development projects in town. The annual convention provides plenty of opportunities for communities across the state to connect with one another and share ideas.

"I think if you are an attendee, you're looking for ideas. It's also just a nice meeting for people to learn how other people do it in other areas. It's an opportunity for people to network and interface with their peers," says Aran Rush, executive director of the Sioux City Convention Center.

Rush, says he expects the convention to have brought in around $250,000 to the city these past three days.
