KCAU-TV Wins Emmy Award for Coverage of 2011 Missouri River Flooding

KCAU Channel 9 Eyewitness News was honored to be recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on Saturday with the Regional Emmy Award for Best Weekend Newscast.

We were honored for our coverage of the historic Missouri River flooding.  The June 5, 2011 newscast featured team coverage of families being forced to evacuate their Dakota Dunes, SD neighborhood.

The Upper Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is a membership organization dedicated to excellence in television by honoring exceptional work, past and present; providing professional development and outreach; and nurturing the next generation of television professionals.
