Kids have a new place to have fun along the riverfront in Sioux City. As a part of the city's recovery effort from last year's flooding, a new playground has been set up at Chris Larsen Park. Many individuals, schools, and businesses contributed to make the playground a reality. Among the biggest investors is the Sioux City Rotary Club. Aran Rush, the Sioux City Facilities Director and a Rotary member, says, "This park is named after Chris Larsen who's a Sioux City Rotarian. Because of that, the Rotary Club of Sioux City decided to dedicate their fundraising efforts for a year to help restore the park."
The playground is now open to the public and features a variety of fun equipment for kids to play on.
