Local Zumba instructors hosted "A Party In Pink Zumbathon" at Bronson Elementary School Gym on Saturday.
For the past three years, Zumba Fitness and Susan G. Komen for the Cure have hosted the event.
Local instructor, Pam Calhoun said Zumba has been a great way for people especially breast cancer survivors to forget about their worries and just dance.
"It's a good stress reliever. It just makes you feel good. Even if you have all kinds of problems, life problems, there's an hour in the day when you can forget about those struggles."
This year was the first year that the "Zumbathon" went on worldwide.
The large-scale event lasted two hours in which dancers of all ages were taught three different levels of Zumba.
The groups also had a silent auction. All of its proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Seventy-five percent of every donation today will fun breast cancer research, education, screen and treatment programs.
