Now this debate was on Morningside College's campus, so we also wanted to hear what college students took away from Tuesday night's debate.

Here's what they had to say:

Taylor McCloskey, Morningside College Sophomore said, "I believe that Christie Vilsack spent her time, more or less attacking him and what he had to say rather than using her own ideas."

Emily Greenlee, Morningside College Junior said, "Honestly, I was kind of disappointed in Christie's performance, sort of like I was disappointed in Obama's. That doesn't mean I don't believe in what they're saying, because I do."

Elizabeth Norton, Morningside College Senior said, "I thought Christie did an excellent job of showing that even though she may not be an elected official, she has helped Iowans and she has done the work outside of Congress that she can then bring that experience in if she's elected."

Jon Hoaglund, Morningside College Sophomore said, "I really admire Steve King for keeping the Constitution, for keeping it close to his heart, literally in his jacket pocket. And really standing up for this district."
