The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce and the South Sioux City Chamber of Commerce got together in Thursday to celebrate the creation of Vision Dakota County.
The group was formed in April by Stacia Lenz and Jack Ehrich to help business professionals in Dakota County and the surrounding area build relationships, learn more about the community, and give back.
So far they have about 25 members and membership is open to any business professional in the Siouxland region.
And co-founder Stacia Lenz says she couldn't be more excited about the future of the organization.
"When we came up with this idea last year it took a lot of work and effort to put it forward and to know that the community supports us and our peers support us it just means a lot," Lenz said.
In August the group hosted a golf outing at Covington Links golf course in South Sioux City.
A check for $17,000 from the proceeds of the golf outing was presented to the Siouxland Freedom Park.
