The Presidential race is tight, and experts are saying that Latino voters could sway the election and are favoring one candidate over the other.

According to the Pew Hispanic Research Center, Latino voters support President Obama by a 3 to 1 ratio.

Maria Rundquist of Sioux City has been a registered voter for over 20 years and has been volunteering with the Obama campaign.

When asked about this year's election, she said in comparison to 2008, there will be a lot more Latino voters.

"For a long time they were like, do I need to vote? Yes, it's your right. A lot of first time voters are coming up because they didn't know before," said Rundquist.

She believes part of the reason there is so much support for the President from the Latino community is because of his 'Dream Act'.

The act gives qualified undocumented youth a conditional path to citizenship.
