The Union County Sheriff's Office wants folks who have 9-6-6 phone numbers in and around Jefferson, South Dakota to know that land lines are currently down.
That means you will be unable to call 9-1-1 in the case of emergency so, try to find an alternative.
It is unknown how long the lines will be down but we will notify you.
