Cedar Rapids, IA - If you didn't know any better, you'd think MOC-Floyd Valley volleyball were seasoned state tournament veterans. Junior Shelby Schouten says "We were really nervous before that first game but after that we were ready to go." This is the same team had never been to the state tournament since their schools merged. "We were just so ready to go. Once we're here, we are going to dominate." Shouten said. Maybe it wasn't quite total domination, but they did manage to beat Red Oak three games to one. So not only do they get their first state tournament appearance but they also get their first tournament victory. Head Coach Jon Mouw says "No matter what happens, if you get to the state tournament you want to play well. That second set was a little shaky, but after that we got it together and played awesome."
