Sen. Mike Flood of Norfolk Expected to Announce Gubernatorial Bid Tonight

Nebraska Senator Mike Flood of Norfolk, NE is expected to announce his plans to run for Governor Monday evening.

Flood, who represents District 19, is hosting a special event at Divots Convention Center in Norfolk Monday at 7pm.  It's open to the public and Flood has stated that he will be making a "big announcement" at the event.

Current Governor Dave Heineman would not run for re-election in 2014 due to term limits.  Flood, a radio station owner and lawyer, would run for Governor as a Republican.

Lt. Gov. Rick Sheehy also has expressed interest in running for Gov. Dave Heineman's job in 2014.
