The community of Elk Point is banding together to make a new community center a reality.
Volunteers are making this project happen. They're building the new community center from the ground up.
Right now, the frame work for the walls is going up. The project has been underway for about a month now.
"It's a lot of fun, people come out people you never see and they look at the job and we get to work with different guys all the time, when you normally don't work this long so it turns into comes, it's a lot of fun," said volunteer and Construction Manager Todd Larsen.
Depending on the amount of volunteers that help daily, organizers hope to finish the building come April. If you want to learn more about what they're doing, or volunteer your time, click: http://elkpointcountryclub.com/
