A hit and run early Wednesday morning left some Sioux City residents without power.
A car slammed into a power line pole on South Davidson Street around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday. The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene.
According to neighbors the car never caught on fire, but it was smoldering when officials arrived. The crash caused the power to go out in all the houses on South Davidson Street. Authorities said they are unsure of who was driving the vehicle.
It is unknown whether or not alcohol was involved in the crash. An investigation is under way.
