If you thought the lines looked long Friday morning, you should have seen them Thursday night!

Jenn Canny, a store manager at Target, says, "We had about 1500 people in line at 9 PM when we opened our doors."

Alejandro Perez of Sioux City, says, "I heard that the line out here [Best Buy] was wrapped around the building. Haha, so I didn't wanna do that!"

It's the same reason so many anti–Black Friday shoppers were out and about Friday morning.

Terry McPhillips of Sioux City, who's never been shopping on Black Friday, says, "Figured everything was kind of, died down, and I could maybe get what I wanted without getting pushed over."

While they did miss the lines, crowded lots and elbow–to–elbow craziness, they did miss out on a few other things, as well.

Perez recalls, "Like that 40 inch TV-Toshiba, for like 170 some bucks, yeah, that was gone."

Jessica Heitman of Sioux Center, says, "Yeah, it definitely looks like things are picked over, a lot of the movies are gone too, so that was one of the things I wanted to get. Especially for family members."

Even store managers admit, there just wasn't enough hot–item inventory to meet Thursday night's demand.

Canny says, "We've absolutely run out of some of the TV's that were for great deals, some furniture pieces, small appliances."

With that being said, though, it's still Black Friday, and it still brought out it's fair share of shoppers.

Jeni Aman of Sioux City, says, "I didn't try to be the first one in line or anything like that. Just to get some essential things, see what I could find."
