Sioux City, Iowa - The Morningside Mustangs needed overtime to knock off a pesky Southern Oregon team, 47-44.
Southern Oregon's no. 1 offense pushed Morningside's no. 1 defense to the brink, but the Mustangs were able outscore the Raiders as Joel Nixon connected with Joel McCabe in the end zone to seal the victory.
This is the second Morningside team to ever advance to the semifinals -- the Mustangs are now 2-5 all time in quarterfinals appearances.
