You may notice a few more college women athletes on the streets of Sioux City this week.

24 teams are in town for the annual NAIA women's Volleyball National Championship at the Tyson Event Center.

The added traffic in town is expected to bring over $1 million to the local economy.

The teams work all year to make it to the championships and come from all over the country to compete.

And the girls enjoy getting to know each other.

Kathyn Nasburg, a College of Idaho player said, "It's interesting because like, off the court you meet them and you get to know them and then when you're on the court you're like 'you're totally my competition!'"

The tournament finishes up on December 1st.
