A suspicious vehicle was spotted outside of Covington Elementary School in South Sioux City Tuesday afternoon.

It happened when school got out around 3:30 pm.

The drivers are described as 2 Hispanic males in their mid-20s. They reportedly drove up to 4 children and told them to get in the vehicle and said they would give them a ride home.

The kids were not harmed.

The vehicle in question is being described as a 4-door gray, mid-size extended cab pickup with dark windows.

If you have any information, call the South Sioux City Police at 402-494-7555.

And here's some safety tips for parents and their kids.

Always remind your kids about stranger danger.

Three good rules for kids to remember are:

1. Say "No" loud and clear.

2. Run away and make noise.

3. Tell a trusted adult about what happened and call the police.

And be aware of what suspicious activity really is, be wary of anyone peering into parked cars, people hanging around schools or parks or any vehicles driving slowly without lights.
