It's that time of year for the "Little Yellow Dog Auction" here in Sioux City. This is the 77th year in a row the auction has taken place, and up for bid this year, was the playful, cuddly, chocolate-brown puppy named Truffles. And she went for a pretty little penny. The final bid topped out at $14,500.
"I had collected money from five different people... and this is what we got! We got the baby!," said Rhonda Capron, Sioux City.
All proceeds from the auction go to the Sioux City Journal's "Mr. Good fellow Charities," which provides books and toys to thousands of under-privileged kids.
