Flags are still at half–staff in Orange City, Iowa, following Friday's mass shooting at an elementary school in Newtown Connecticut.

And people there? Are still on edge.

So when Lisa Burg received a text saying the school her children attend was on lockdown because of a Facebook threat made by a man in Hospers - a town 10 miles away - she panicked.

Lisa says, "The first thing you think of is copy–cats, Sandy Hook was a small town and it was an elementary school and we have four children in the elementary school, similar size to there, including a first grader, so all these visions of what you've been watching over the weekend kind of flood up."

Lisa was recording her daughter's string orchestra performance at a local nursing home when she received the message.

While her little musician was shielded from the situation at school, Lisa's other kids, like Sera, were not.

Sera says the lockdown instantly made her entire class grow very scared.

She says, "I was scared also, but I was just thinking if this will keep going or if someone will find out what's going on."

The Sioux County Sheriff's Office did find out what was going on. The 22 year-old man who made the threat was eventually located in Hospers and taken into custody.
