Christmas is just around the corner which meant shoppers were out all Saturday rushing to get their last minute Christmas shopping in.

"It's very stressful. We don't even have the wrapping paper," said Kim Noel of Dakota Dunes.

And while last minute Christmas shopping was nerve racking for some, for others it wasn't too stressful. Some shoppers said they have last minute Christmas shopping down to a "science."

After many years of putting Christmas shopping off until the last minute, Nicolle Eaton, a "Self Proclaimed Christmas Shopping Procrastinator" said she knows where the "busy spots" are and tries to avoid those as much as possible.

"My husband and I went out early, so we can avoid hitting the big crowds," said Eaton.

Other last minute shopping pros said you have to come with a plan and be prepared, just in case a store is sold out of what you're looking for.

"I always have a back–up plan," said Shenelle Conley of Sioux City. "I'll have two or three things on my list for each person."

And while many of the parking lots were very fully with Christmas traffic on Saturday, some shoppers said it is almost best to park far away and get a little exercise to make room for that Christmas dinner.

"It's good to take just a little jaunt through the parking lot up to the doors. It's good exercise!" said Eaton.
