Allen Consolidated School in Allen, Neb. is a small town marching band that will be competing in one of the biggest bowl games.
"It's kind of nerve racking because we're the smallest school competing," said first year marching band member, Chase Johnson.
The marching band will be marching its way to Atlanta, Georgia to play in the Chick Fil-A Bowl.
Once there, they will go head to head with marching bands much larger than their own, but that does not mean they wont be bringing heat to the field said senior marching band member Brittnay Sullivan.
"We've been working really hard since school started, working on the music, working hard every day so we're ready," she said.
This is the fourth bowl game the band has marched in. The band's Music Director Richard Lacy, has been teaching music at the school for 25-years now. He said the band has marching passed down from generation to generation.
"This is a second generation group for me. They're doing competitions, their parents were. And their old brothers and sister were doing competitions, with me," he said.
Lacy also said there are some challenges to being a small band coming from a small school, but the band is proving they are going to overcome those odds.
