The sound of drums and Indian song surprised shoppers at the Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City Wednesday night.

A "Flash Mob" staged by members of the Siouxland Indian community clogged center court at the mall at about 7PM.   The event was staged in an effort to raise awareness of an on going dispute between Canadian Prime Minster Stephen Harper and people of the Attawapiskat First Nation.

First Nation Chief Theresa Spence is now 16 days into a hunger strike that she says won't end until Harper agrees to meet with her to discuss a treaty that was signed in the first decade of the last century.  The treaty offered money, education and health care in exchange for land.  Spence, the mother of five girls claims Canada is no longer living up to it's part of the agreement.
