It does not matter the time.
From early in the morning to late at night, when there is snow on the ground, plow drivers like Ron Isaacson of Sioux City are out in their plows clearing the streets for safe travel.
"It's just fulfilling to work for the city," Isaacson said.
For the last 25 years, Ron has been plowing the streets of Sioux City, a job that he said isn't always a smooth ride.
"Getting around the curbs and medians, they tend to throw you around."
But, Isaacson said that's not the only bump in the road.
While on the job Thursday, it was also other drivers who didn't have their lights that threw a little kink into Ron's drive.
"I just about hit a car this morning," he said. "It happened to be a white car, and I didn't even see it until I was about 5 feet from it."
Isaacson asked that you always remember to drive with your lights on.
He said that makes it a lot safer for him and other drivers on the roads, the same roads that he takes a lot of pride in keeping clean.
"When we're done plowing you can see a finished product. You got the snow off the streets, and you can see that you've got something accomplished."
