An Orange City, IA husband and wife hauling band uniforms and equipment to the Rose Bowl for The Pride of the Dutchman Marching Band are with the band in Pasadena, CA tonight.
But not before surviving a scary accident on Tuesday.

According to MOC–FV Superintendent Gary Richardson, Kevin and Nancy Jansen were hit from behind by an out of control car while walking in Barstow, CA.

The Jansen's suffered non-life-threatening injuries however Kevin was life-flighted to a Las Vegas area hospital.  Both have since been released.  Kevin is temporarily confined to a wheelchair.

Thanks to help from volunteers the equipment and uniforms did make it to California where the band is set to perform in the 2013 Rose Bowl Parade on New Years Day.
