It's good news so far for the University of Okoboji's Winter Games next month.
Last year, the lake for the Winter Games was not used for the event like it typically is.
This year though things could go back to normal.
"The ice is looking great in comparison to last year," said Erin Roe, the Winter Games Chairperson. "We have 3 to 4 inches right now which is great. We are right on schedule. We can expect to have great ice and snow for the event too."
The Winter Games will also be featuring a few new events this year like a "Crossfit Throwdown".
