A small group of "Progress Iowa" supporters rallied outside the Federal Building in downtown Sioux City Sunday.

Their mantra: Middle class over millionaires.

The rally was a part of a statewide "Progress Iowa" project aimed at changing the mind of Republican Senator Chuck Grassley as Congress approaches the fiscal cliff.

The specific issue is ending Bush-era tax cuts that give breaks to the wealthiest Americans.

Eriksen Todd, with Progress Iowa said, "I think it's a step in the right direction. A lot of the tax cuts for the rich are a reason behind a lot of the financial troubles that we're having. We need to create some more revenue."

Republicans and supporters of the Bush-era tax cuts say cuts for the wealthy trickle down to the middle class through jobs and consumer spending.
