Just a reminder, there will not be any trash collection on New Year's Day, which falls on Tuesday, this year.

Instead, all trash collection will be set back one day. Keep in mind, all garbage cans and dumpsters may be set out no longer than 24 hours prior to collection and all containers need to be removed from the curb no later than 24 hours after trash has been picked up.

And if you're looking to get rid of that Christmas tree, you can take it to the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center, starting January 1st, and you can drop it off in the lower parking lot through Friday, January 13th.

The trees must be completely undecorated, with no lights, plastics, ornaments, or flocking. Wreaths will not be accepted.
