Travel Website's Newsletter Subscription Grows By More Than 1,000 Signups Per Day
McLean, VA (PRWEB) January 02, 2013
Fast-growing travel site, InsanelyCheapFlights.com, is now offering its visitors access to heavily discounted flight and hotel deals through a recently launched newsletter. The first deal visitors receive is a promo code worth up to $20 off any flight booking on the website, with more travel deals sent weekly. The new feature has been well-recieved, with InsanelyCheapFlights.com reportedly averaging over a thousand signups per day since launching the newsletter last month.
“We wanted a better way to communicate with our visitors,” says Steve Oliverez, founder of InsanelyCheapFlights.com. While the company has a solid social media presence, “nothing beats email,” says Oliverez. “If we find a great deal on cheap flights and we think it’s too good to pass up, we want to let our users know about it, even if the deal is from somebody else.”
In addition to flight deals that have been common on the website, the newsletter also touts vouchers for hotel discounts similar to other group-buying deal sites. Occasionally the newsletter will also include deals on consumer items, like popular skin care products such as Tag Away, but the vast majority of offers are travel related.
A relative new-comer to the travel space, InsanelyCheapFlights.com has experienced rapid growth in recent years with a focus on helping users find the cheapest flights available online, in contrast to older sites that have decided to focus on the more lucrative hotel market. InsanelyCheapFlights.com has also recently introduced a feature to allow users to search for airline tickets on other websites and compare prices, so travelers can be sure they’re getting a good deal.
With more than 30,000 users signed up so far, Oliverez says the new focus will be on finding even deeper discounts on travel. “Engagement isn’t an issue, there’s a ton of demand for travel savings. Now we need to work even harder on finding the best deals to pass on.”
