A new partnership between St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City and Cardiovascular Associates, or CVA, will improve care for patients all across Siouxland. After a year of collaboration, the hospital and CVA is teaming to enhance hospital services, operate more clinics and manage more outreach programs.

And what that means for patients is,"It's going to allow us to provide really high quality care to our patients. It's going to be a big advantage in terms of recruiting and obtaining cardiologist to Siouxland. So we're excited," said Jon Peacock, President of Cardiovascular Associates.

Patients will continue to see the same physicians and go to the same clinics. And this partnership with St. Luke's and CVA will help save on the cost of medical equipment.

"Rather than kind of splitting the volume over their equipment and our equipment, we can have the latest and greatest. State of the art technology in terms of equipment, and we have one pieces verse two pieces of equipment. And it's better utilization of resources," said Lynn Wold, COO St. Luke's Medical Treatment.

Wold says the biggest changes patients will see from this partnership in the near future, is a new clinic location opening up this summer, in the Sunny Brook mMdical Plaza.
