$100 thousand. That's how much money the Missouri River Historical Development gave to two separate charities tonight.

The two gifts of $50 thousand were given to the Food Bank of Siouxland as well as the new, Pier Center for Autism.

Tony Michaels, one of the Pier Center recipients, says, "We had no idea how much the amount would be and that amount will make so many dreams come true. And for those with Autism in the Siouxland community, this will be just a huge lifesaver."

The money was awarded tonight during MRHD's annual dinner at the Betty Strong Interpretive Center along the Riverfront.

MRHD is the non-profit gaming license holder in Woodbury County.
