Brown for a discussion and signing of his book “How Money Walks: How $2 Trillion Moved Between the States” on Friday, January 18, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Louis County Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Between 1995 and 2010, millions of Americans moved between the states, taking with them over $2 trillion in adjusted gross income. Why did Americans move so much of their income from state to state? Which states benefitted and which states suffered? "How Money Walks" maps this great migration of American income and raises important questions about American tax policy and how it profoundly affects growth and development in our country.
Travis H. Brown has two decades of state and local lobbying experience and has worked in one-third of the 50 states. After a diverse career in corporate sales, marketing, and government affairs, Brown co-founded Pelopidas LLC, a St. Louis-based public affairs and advocacy firm. He is a contributor to Forbes.com and a blogger at YourTaxCode.com.
