Names Released From Fatal Plane Crash In North Platte

The Nebraska State Patrol has released the names of four-men killed in the crash of a twin-engine plane Friday afternoon, near Maxwell in Lincoln County, Nebraska.

The fatalities have been identified as the Mark Bottorff, 54, of Lancaster, Kansas. Ken Babcock, 71, of Hiawatha, Kansas. Jason Drane, 39, of St. Joseph, Missouri and Chris Nelsen, 53, of York, Neb.

The twin-engine plane piloted by Bottorff, was reported missing shortly after taking off from the North Platte airport around 3:46 p.m. The plane was located in a field approximately 13-miles Northeast of Maxwell.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating the crash.
