When most of us think of Stone State Park in Sioux City, we don't think fossils and a zoo, but The Sioux City Museum will hold a "history at high noon" presentation titled, "Stone State Park: Where Nature and History Meet".

This presentation will educate folks on the history of Stone State Park.

Tom Muson, an Archival Records Clerk at the museum says the images in the presentation are a sight to see.

"We have several hundred thousand, if not a million, photographic images, and this is just a great way for the museum to share those photos with people," he said.

Munson also says the land we know as Stone State Park has only been this way since 1935, and that there is so much more history behind it all that the museum would like to share with Siouxland.

You are encouraged to come and bring your own lunch. It is going on this Thursday from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at The Sioux City Public Museum.
