Mercy Medical Center has informed Channel 9 Eyewitness News that Grace Hutchinson of Winnipeg Canada has died after getting struck by a car Tuesday night. Police believe the driver was distracted due to texting on his phone, but they are still investigating.
Grace's family said that she is an organ donor.

An 80-year old woman is now in stable condition after she was struck by a vehicle on South Lakeport and Southern Hills Drive.
Police found Grace Hutchinson of Winnipeg Manitoba, lying in a median unconscious but fortunately she was still breathing. The incident happened just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. She suffered from a head injury and was immediately sent to Mercy Hospital.
Police say the driver of the car was David Milos, 23, of Sioux City. They say alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the incident. But they are looking into whether he was distracted due to texting on his phone.
