According to the South Sioux City Police Department, a child was approached by a stranger in a car Friday morning.

It happened just after 7:40 a.m near Lewis & Clark Elementary. A child says a vehicle stopped, then the driver rolled down the window and offered the child candy if he got in his car. The child said "No thanks" and continued walking toward the school.

The vehicle turned around and continued following the child. That's when the student began running toward the school and reported the incident to staff.

The suspicious vehicle is described as a 4 door brown vehicle with a Hispanic driver in his early to mid 20's. The person is said to be bald with no facial hair.
