Bacon Creek Park could be getting a lot bigger. Parks and Recreation is looking to expand the 239- acre park by another 80 acres. The area being looked at, is city-owned property located just north of the park now. Kelly Bach, with parks and recreation says it's looking to add an off road biking trail plus maybe a spot for camping.
"Oh I think it'll be great. More people will be out here. It's a fun place. Something for everybody to do."
Bach says he's not sure when the expansion would start taking place, but it will be discussed in the City Council's capital improvement meeting at the end of this month.
