A Siouxland man was one of just 8 Americans to be honored by the President on his big day.
Rob Hach is the owner of Anemometry Specialists, a wind energy company in Alta, Iowa.
He was chosen as one of 8 citizen co-chairs for Monday's inauguration. A citizen co-chair is someone who was affected by policies put in place by President Obama, Hach's being an extension to the wind energy tax credit.
Hach says he sat 100 rows from the President at the inaugural event and met with him a few times over the weekend.
And so what has been his favorite moment?
"To participate in the National Day of Service. To go to the Oval Office. I think definitely if I had to summarize, it'd be a trip to the Oval Office. But, just the fact that 8 ordinary average Americans were invited to the event this weekend has been fantastic," said Hach.
Hach sat on a float as a part of the inauguration parade Monday evening.
And get this, he was told just late last Tuesday that he would indeed be invited to the inaugural ball Monday night so he had to quickly get a fitted tuxedo in time for the trip.
