It's a challenging time for folks like Jimmy John's delivery driver, Colin Copple.
With temperatures hovering in the single digits Monday morning, he had to be up bright and early just to start warming up his car.
"I make sure I get out to my car early enough, so that if it doesn't start I can get a trickle charger or ask for a jump start," Colin said.
Colin has been working for the company for over three years, and he said the winter season can be some of the toughest days to get through because of the cold weather.
So to help fight the cold temperatures, he makes sure he dresses warm.
"I will wear my steel toe boots or waterproof boots with thick thermal socks," he said.
Colin tries to have has his heat on high, so he stays nice and toasty going to and from deliveries.
And even though delivering in the cold weather can be tough, it does have its perks he said.
"They're coming to their doors like, 'Oh, it's really cold.' And I'm like, 'Yeah, but I still have to do it.' They'll give me an extra dollar or two."
