The kids of Cardinal Elementary in South Sioux City, NE were treated to a visit by a special lady Thursday.

Governor Dave Heineman's wife Sally Ganem spoke to students about what life is like as First Lady.

Some even wondered if she owned a private jet!

As a former 1st grade teacher and principal herself, Ganem also spoke of the importance of education and reading, which is a platform of her role as First Lady.

"I do try to promote literacy and I belong to several groups that promote literacy through Nebraska and nationwide," said Ganem.

After the assembly, Ganem read to kindergartners and 1st graders.

The book, "C Is For Cornhuskers" was all about the history of the Cornhusker State.
