It's a good time had by all.
During the 33rd Annual University of Okoboji's Winter Games, over 40,000 people enjoyed the three day event that included competitive games for all ages.
Broomball is one of the Game's classic events, and spectators said during the game there was almost one thing better to see than their home team score a point.
"The guys trying to stay up on the ice," said Teresa Olson of Wallingford, Iowa.
"Yeah, pretty much, watching them fall over," said Nicole Jungers from Ringsted, Iowa.
Yes, bumps and bruises were all part of the fun, just ask Brock Bonnickson.
"Playing softball, I was on first base, took off to go to second and my leg popped! I'm pretty sure it's torn," said Bonnickson.
But adults weren't the only ones on the ice.
Kids strapped on their skates too with their own hockey tournament.
"Hockey is my favorite sport," said Ryan Griener. "We got beat pretty bad though."
But whether you win or lose, game goers said its always important to do one thing: Have some fun!
