The Raw Hide Bull Riding Challenge arrived in Sioux City, attracting a full crowd of folks ready to have some fun and a chance to yell out yeehaw!

This year's entertainment included specialty acts, by the one and only Jerry Wayne Olsen, a clown act, a petting zoo for the kids and of course-bull riding.

We got a sneak peak behind the scenes for some of the preparations. From the makeup to the acts, and some of the people behind it all.

"As far as the bull riders, entries start at about 2-3 weeks before the show starts and we fill about 40-bull riders. As for the the arena preparation, we get with construction companies, and we bring dirt and arena set up, and so on." said the show's announcer Travis Shauda.

Even the smallest of details are important because at an event like this, it can get a little dangerous if not well prepared.

For example, when things get a little crazy with the bulls and their riders, a trained bull fighter then jumps in the arena to take the bull's attention away from the rider and onto him. Putting himself in danger.

"It's a cool feeling to go out there and save a cowboy, like when he's helpless in some situations and you go out there and protect him and I like the adrenaline rush, it's amazing." said one of the bull fighters, Laramie Collins.

And when it comes time for the show, it all comes down to pleasing the crowd.

"There was something that we did, that they really enjoyed and that made it all worth it," said Shauda.

Saturday was the last day for the show.
