Around 7:30 Sunday morning, fire crews from Ponca, Dakota City, Newcastle, Allen and Martinsburg responded to a structure fire at Gomez Pallets Inc. near Jackson, Nebraska.
When crews arrived on scene flames and smoke were coming from the west side of the building.
The company manufactures pallets, which made it easy for the fire to spread quickly.
"They have a lot of sawdust, wood chips and a lot of wood stacked in there. So, what we call a 'fuel load', it's very heavy," said Assistant Fire Chief, Pat Moore of the Dakota City Fire Department.
The building is said to be at a total loss.
Fire Crews are expected to be out there the rest of Sunday taking the east side of the building down to get to the fire.
There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
