The MidAmerican Energy building in downtown Sioux City has gotten a whole lot more energy efficient.
The company recently installed 160 solar panels to help generate electricity for the building.
Each panel can produce up to 235 watts of energy.
During its first full month of operation, the solar panels avoided over 3 tons of carbon output, which is the equivalent of planting 78 trees.
