This week is "Observe Catholic Schools" week. Teachers, parents, students, and volunteers from catholic school all over the Siouxland area have put on luncheons, games and fun events to show their support of catholic schools.

Today Bishop Heelan Schools held a luncheon to honor teachers who have taught for five years or more.

Two Bishop Heelan teachers, combined, have taught for 60 years.

Susie Townley has taught for 30 years at Bishop Heelan, she says, "I have taught the children of some of my kindergartners, so you know that's been a long time."

Barb Swanson has taught Kindergarten at Bishop Heelan for 30 years, she says, "Kids are great, kindergartners always love you, they're fun to be with."

"Observe Catholic Schools" week continues through Saturday.

A student vs. faculty volleyball game and a talent show will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Blessed Sacrament gym.
