Friday night was the Annual Chamber of Commerce dinner. Dozens of businesses and city leaders came together to enjoy a meal at the Marina Inn in South Sioux City. The night promotes strong business, in order to help create even stronger communities.
Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman was in attendance. He took this opportunity to discuss a major issue on the mind's of many business owners in Nebraska right now, tax reform.
"The states that are growing the fastest economically, no longer have a state income tax. That's what we're proposing and in order to do that, we have to give up some of our business sales tax exemptions. That's the conversation we need to have in Nebraska," said Governor Heineman.
