Kingston Meadows is the new housing development in Sergeant Bluff that just recently broke ground and already has lots selling quickly.

Already ten of the eighty-three lots are sold.

Tammy Griese, a listing agent for the development, said a housing tax incentive is what has many people wanting to call the area home.

"You don't pay any property taxes for the first three years or you can spread out the savings over 10 years. It's a rough estimate of about $20,000 dollars savings. That is quite a good incentive to build because it's not on existing homes, just new construction," said Griese.

Griese said construction will happen in two phases.

She hopes the first fifty houses will be built this year then the rest finished next year.
